Play Selection for the 35th season in 2007-2008 is now closed. Submissions for our 36th season, in 2008-2009, will be accepted in the spring of 2008. This
season we will produce four shows, which allows us to really concentrate our
resources on each show so each production is the best we can make it.
We are looking for directors who expect the best, too – from their
casts, crews, and themselves – yet know how to enjoy the friendships and fun
that working on community theatre offers. You can apply to direct a specific show,
or you can apply to be a director and let the membership pick the show!

OUR SEASON’S CALENDAR OF EVENTS: We
are looking for activities and directors to round out our season’s calendar of
events. Examples might be a
Christmas event or a theatre workshop. We want to get these activities on the
calendar now so we can promote the entire season over the summer. TO
SUBMIT YOUR PROPOSAL FOR A SHOW, DIRECTORSHIP, OR ACTIVITY: TO APPLY TO DIRECT A SPECIFIC SHOW: Please
submit an interest letter or show submission form
indicating the name of the suggested show, approximate cast size, any special
tech requirements, and your preferred time of year.
A few words about the content of the show and why it’s a good choice
for us would be appreciated. If you
have not directed for Lakeland Players before, we would appreciate a copy of
your theatrical résumé. TO
APPLY TO DIRECT – NO SPECIFIC SHOW: Please
submit a letter telling us about your interest, preferred time of year,
preferred type of show, and preferred size of cast. If you have not directed for Lakeland Players before, include
your theatrical résumé. TO
SUBMIT AN ACTIVITY FOR THE CALENDAR OF EVENTS: Please
submit a letter telling us about your proposed activity, preferred time of year
or proposed timeline of the activity including starting and ending dates, size
of cast or number of participants, and any special requirements.
Indicate whether you wish to direct the activity and if additional
production staff or organizers might be needed. Please
send all submissions to Lakeland Players, attention Play Selection Committee, P.O. Box 234,
Elkhorn, WI 53121.
Submissions are due by March 1, 2008. The board of directors will review submissions at every board meeting, with the goal of finalizing the season by May 1, 2007.
