Our Stage Can Be Yours!

WHO:  You!!

WHAT:  LPL's First Open Stage Night

WHEN:  Saturday, September 14, 2002, 8 p.m.

WHERE:  Walworth County Performing Arts Center/Old Sprague Theatre, Elkhorn

WHY:  Because you've always wanted to see the materials you've written performed live on stage!  And you can compete for prizes!  First Place:  $75; Second Place:  $50; Third Place, $25.

HOW:  Authors of original works  -- a song, a poem, a monologue, a scene, a skit, or whatever creative piece that you have written -- will be performing their pieces in Lakeland Players' first Open Stage Night.  The entries in the Open Stage Night are all semi-finalists who passed an initial round of screening and are ready for the judges' decision.

IN addition to the three cash prizes awarded by the judges, the audience will get a chance to vote for their favorite piece.  The Audience's Choice Award will be given to the top vote-getting entry.  How do you vote?  Give a donation to our curtain fund in the name of your favorite act.   Voting will be open during the judges' decision intermission.  The act that raises the most amount of donations will be crowned the audience's favorite.
