And welcome to another edition of Lakeland Players Online, our free e-newsletter for members and friends of our community theatre. Can you feel the excitement in the air???? Curtain is about to go up on another great production....in just a few short days! Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella is the classic story of Cinderella, her Fairy Godmother, and her Prince Charming, with the beautiful melodies of Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein to sweep you off your feet. This is the original script and score for the 1957 CBS live television production that starred Julie Andrews. We have some pretty darn good actors and singers of our own on stage, and they are really really ready to put on a fantastic show for you. In celebration of our VINTAGE SEASON, all seats for Cinderella are just $8 each. What a wonderful way to enjoy a live theatre production with the entire family! This show is entirely family friendly (and even stars some of our most talented young'uns), so please feel free to bring both your children and your "young-at-heart"-ers. Performances are May 13-14-15 and 20-21-22, with evening shows on Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday matinees at 2 p.m. To reserve tickets, please call our ticket manager, Carin, at 262-248-0489. Cinderella is the last show of our 32nd season, and we will be dark over the summer. But Lakeland Players will return this fall for our 33rd season. Be sure to watch our web site for the complete announcement of our 33rd season schedule, which will start with the return of our summer pig roast fundraiser at Champ's Bar and Grill (yum!!!) and the hit play Bus Stop, directed by Patricia Moran Collins. See you around the theatre and at Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella! |
